world warcraft leatherworking leveling

my character in world of warcraft?

I have a level 14 hunter who knows or is working on leatherworking and skinning. But I wanted to do mining to.
(take a break from leatherworking or skinning)Im at Gelman who teaches you mining with a pickaxe but the train button is gray and not available,But the apprentice miner is green.I do have a pickaxe… Can i still learn mining??

You not stuck with leatherworking for one, you can untrain your professions and then click on the mining trainer to pick up mining, but remember when you untrain you lose all your skills in leatherworking and skinning and leatherworking and skinning is actually the best professions for a hunter so would think twice in mining
