How do I equip something offhand in world of warcraft?

I am a level 11 human warlock. I am trained in daggers and staves.

I don’t think that warlocks can “dual-wield” weapons so there are only a few types of items that you can hold in your off hand. A few talismans or such. Their description will tell you if they are to be held off hand. But those are the only items you can equip that way
