What is the best character to choose in World of Warcraft.?

I am about to start playin WOW for the first time. I dont have any experience and I would like to get some opinions. I dont want to be a medic or herbalist or stuff like that. I want my character to be a fighter, to be able to wear all kinds of heavy armor, wield all kinds of powerful weapons, and be able to train animals and keep them as pets. I also want my character to good at fighting because im probably going to be playin solo most of the time but I would also like to join groups and stuff. So please give me your best suggestions with some reasons why.

Paladin – Sounds like you’d enjoy a retribution paladin to be a powerful fighter. Paladins are melee oriented hybrids.

Warrior – Equipment wise,a warrior fits your descripition perfectly. Bows,Guns,Crossbows,Plate Armor,big weapons with chance on hit abilities and high damage,and items with alot ot Stamina and Strength.

Hunters – The only class that can use pets,excluding warlocks which use demons. Don’t be fooled into thinking they’re fighters. Big weapons from instances with chance on hit procs are useless to hunters. Hunters act more like spellcasters than warriors,even though they are niether. Hunters are ranged,archers. I advise you don’t roll one.

Warlocks,Mages,Priests – Spellcasters. Cloth armor.

Rogues – Can’t say much. But they’re not powerful,they’re not the class to play if you want to be able to take a hit.

Druids,Shamans – Hybrids,that can use long ranged magical damage and healing spells.

That’s all of them. I’d go with the Paladin or Warrior if I were you. Plate Classes.
