How do you get the special starting gear on world of warcraft?
Ive noticed a few players that are very low lvl( like 1-5) But they have really wicked looking gear on that is better than like lvl 25 gear? Ive been told its because thay have a lvl 80 but idk, could someone shed some light on this for me? Best answer gets as many points as i can give
What you are looking at is Bind on Account gear. Basically… you get currency marks from Battle grounds, and other sources, and the item levels are from 1-80.
The item gets progressively better as you level. So.. By getting some of these items, and giving them to your alts, when you are level 2, the item acts at the equivalent of a level 2 item. When you level to level 3, it gets a small increase to that of a level 3 item. Every level you gain, you also get a increase in your gear with it.
Basically, you will never have to replace it until you get to the high level 70’s when something from a dungeon run may be better than that.
Also. some of those Bind on Account items also give you extra experience for killing things, so for some people if you can stack a couple of these items, you are getting 20-25% bonus Experience over the regular joe schmoe in your party by having this gear.
