How to solve WoW Nostalgia?
I am a veteran World of Warcraft player, and have had multiple endgame characters. Not until last December did I decide that WoW was interfering with my life, and that I was better off without it. So I ended my subscription and my life went on fine without it. I had a lot of fun in weight lifting during and after school, I have a 4.0, and my social life is good. Not to mention I have much more time for martial arts and wrestling.
The only problem is every once in a while I’ll get an email, or an ad will appear on the screen, or a friend will mention the game and I’ll get a very strong urge to play the game (I mean a RIDICULOUSLY bad urge). The short-term, obvious answer is to not bring the game up and avoid any contact with it. But does anyone else know how to get rid of it wholly and effectively?
Well your doing fine as it seems just avoiding it, you can try blocking these emails that get sent to you. As for your friends you don want to block them.
Just ignoring your urge will make it go away I was the same with FFXI when I quit I had an urge or two.
Funny enough if you wish to risk it try playing again you may find its different or boring and it will fade from you.
But most of all dont be afraid or worried to play those types of games someone like your self can
play WoW and still keep up everything you hold dear.
