Did world of warcraft cataclysm come out yet?

Well I quit WoW last year and I was just wondering if the new expansion pack came out yet. Well I keep seeing vids on youtube of World Of Warcraft Cataclysm gameplay but I dont know if these are real or beta testers or somthing.. I cant seem to find when it came out or when it does come out

Cataclysm has not been released yet, and no release date has been announced at this time. Any dates you might see on game store sites are there to enable them to sell pre-orders. At this time, Cataclysm isnt even in beta yet.

Most likely, we wont see it released until the fourth quarter of 2010. Blizzcon is in October this year and I wouldnt be surprised if a release date is announced at this time.

It’s been almost a full year since Aion was launched in South Korea, and in that time, the west has been waiting eagerly to get their first glimpse of what the biggest, baddest new MMO in the land will look like. Aion Online 1.5, the official North American release of the new MMO is just a few weeks away now and it looks like, in that time, the game is going to quite possibly dwarf the recent releases of some other new MMOs like Warhammer Online or Age of Conan.

The Beta is Coming Soon

All summer, the Aion Online closed beta has been running on alternating weekends. With 6 full runnings of the closed beta, NCSoft was able to show off the best of their game, including the fact that the game is in much better shape than most MMOs have been in this close to launch. It doesn’t hurt that Asia got the game first and we’re getting a much more polished, vamped up version of the game, but it is still nice to have a fully featured launch on the way – probably one of the most bug free versions anyone’s seen in a long time.

And with that, NCSoft is getting ready to unveil the Open Beta option that anyone who has preordered the game was made privy to when the game started going up for sale a few months ago. Starting on September 6 and going through September 13, players will be able to play up to level 30 as their new Asmodians or Elyos characters.

The Game Falls Soon

The big game itself – the full version of Aion Online 1.5 – will hit on September 22nd. For those that preordered the game, it will be available for preselection of characters and realms on the 18th and will be available for the headstart on September 20th. The game will then go live on the 22nd – allowing everyone in North America to dive head first into the biggest new online game of the year.

With World of Warcraft in a holding pattern in waiting for Cataclysm next year and no other big MMOs on the way until The Old Republic, it looks like Aion could quite possibly be the next big thing – if not a contender for the title that WoW has hold for so long – a good second place finisher.
