real warcraft swords

World of Warcraft franchise?
Ok, I’ve been into WoW for a while, but I’ve never gotten to play. (REALLY crappy PC), anyway. I did some research due to Wrath of the Lich King, and I found out that there was an entire three game Warcraft set that started in ‘94. So, do I have to play the other games for the current WoW to make sense, or can I just play without them?
Also, because I’ve never played, I don’t have any copy of the game so if I buy Wrath of the Lich King, will I start off in Northrend, or will I be able to play through the lands before this release?
And, this may be a really stupid question, but: is the Sword of 1000 Truths actually real? xD
(Had to ask).
Thanks!
For the second question, what I mean is: when I finally do get the game(nor for a long time) will I start off in the oldest part of the game or will I begin in the newest part?
Thanks!
you will have to start off in the ‘older’ part of the game. northrend if only for high levels over 70. just as the expansion before outlands is only for over 60s. you will also have to buy the actual game, burning crusade and then wrath of the lich king. and i never played the warcraft set that started in 94′ some of the things that happen in WoW, like ‘extras’ my boyfriend has to explain to me because he played them, but really it doesn’t make a difference. and i dont THINK there is a sword of 1000 truths that not that i know of lol funny question though =)
