Zygor Waypoint Arrow

The Zygor Guides of the past were heavily reliant on Cartographer to provide in-game levelling pointers and waypoints. That was always fine until several of the recent releases of both add-ons started to create incompatibilities. In short, Zygor and Cartographer where not getting along very well anymore, so some changes to the setup were made.

As a result, Zygor Guides has released its newest Waypointer device, a tool that takes over the heavy lifting duties of Cartographer for its levelling guides. The new waypointer will work to provide an on-screen waypoint arrow for you to follow, place map dots on the map for any questing locations, and reveal the entire map in any zone you enter, so you know where you’re going at all times.

To top things off, you’ll also be able to use the Waypointer in Dalaran, something that none of the other guys have managed to pull off yet in a waypoint add-on. The result is a waypoint add-on that takes up less memory, because it is built into the Zygor files, and one that generally works better.

The Future

With the Smart Injection System built alongside the Waypointer, the guys over at Zygor Guides have created a system that is quickly becoming the standard for any levelling guides currently on the market. Anyone out there who has played through the most basic content in the game will quickly find that, if they want to speed up, this new technology is the only way to go. It’ll be interesting to see how the new tools advance between now and Cataclysm and how they react when Cataclysm tears everything apart.
