Can I cancel my WoW subscription and then reuse the same code again?

I was playing on a 10 day free trail and now I just bought the 30 days of play on WoW. But I somehow loaded it wrong where I cannot use my old characters. Is there anyway to bring them back? Or can I cancel this new subscription I have with Warcraft and then go back and use the code for my trial characters?
